Foresight Regional Fund III

Foresight Regional Investment Fund III is a UK regionally focused private equity fund, which aims to invest in smaller growth-oriented companies across North West, South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and North Wales.  

The fund features a flexible mandate and deploys capital via buyouts, minority equity releases and growth equity investments. The fund typically targets companies with £0.5 million+ EBITDA and investment equity amounts in the £1–10 million range.  

Beyond financial return targets, FRIF III is structured to make a “real-economy” impact: supporting under-invested regional SMEs, creating jobs, and contributing to regional economic development alongside delivering commercial returns. It has supported 15 investee companies and 955 employees along with creating 250+ jobs.

Merseyside Pension Fund invested £10m to Foresight Regional Investment Fund III in 2021.
